Easy to avoid engine cylinder wear

Cylinder wear, one of the most important causes of major engine failures

Significant longitudinal scratches and scratches on the inner wall of the cylinder will seriously damage engine performance. There are many reasons for cylinder wear:

1. Poor running-in: For newly-used or overhauled engines, there are many microscopic depressions and protrusions in the cylinder, and it is difficult to form a lubricating oil film. Immediately put into heavy load operation without running-in, which may cause cylinder accidents.

2. Heavy carbon deposits: Carbon deposits are a hard abrasive. Excessive carbon deposits can cause the piston rings to stick in the rings and cause longitudinal groove marks on the cylinder wall.

3. Large throttle before engine warm-up, high load: The engine is not fully lubricated without warming up the engine. If a large throttle is used for high load, early wear of the cylinder bore will increase.

Main measures to reduce cylinder wear:

1. In winter, the temperature is low. After the engine is started, it should be warmed up first to make the lubricating oil reach the lubrication points. Only after the components have been fully lubricated, start to start. Be careful not to increase the speed and start by cold. Immediately after the start, increasing the speed of the throttle will increase the dry friction between the cylinder and the piston, increasing the amount of wear on the cylinder. Do not idle too long, too long will cause carbon deposits in the cylinder and increase the wear on the inner wall of the cylinder bore.

2. Another main reason for hot cars is that after the car is parked for a long time during rest, 90% of the oil in the engine flows back into the lower oil casing of the engine, and only a small part of the oil remains in the oil duct. Therefore, after ignition, the upper half of the engine is in a state of lack of lubrication. After the engine runs for 30 seconds, the oil will be sent to the parts of the engine that require lubrication due to the operation of the oil pump.

3. During operation, the engine coolant should be kept in the normal temperature range of 80-96 ° C. Too low or too high temperatures can cause damage to the cylinder.

4. Strengthen maintenance, clean the air filter in time, and prohibit the removal of the air filter. This is mainly to prevent the dust particles from entering the cylinder with the air, causing wear on the inner wall of the cylinder bore

The engine is the heart of a car. Protecting your heart can ensure that your car can provide better services. Pay attention to the above issues and use scientific and effective methods to reduce engine wear and extend engine life.
